Production Of The Ear Candle

Ear Candles Are Traditionally Handmade.

Each individual candle is wound by hand, and the base material is soaked with various wax components. To prevent wax from dripping into the ear, high-quality ear candles today all have a filter on the end that is inside the ear. Since the entire production of an ear candle is done by hand, many come from countries on the other side of the world, where the production conditions are much more favourable than in Europe.

Candles from Germany or other European countries tend to be a bit more expensive. Still, here you have the certainty that they were produced under better conditions. You can also be sure that the stricter controls on the materials used provide an additional guarantee of high quality. Moreover, the distance from production to delivery is much shorter, which helps to reduce the ecological footprint.

But how can you recognise quality ear candles? With high-quality candles, the flame burns down very quietly, and they emit a pleasant scent. Furthermore, only quality raw materials such as cotton, beeswax, or essential oils are used. These must be pesticide-free. Regular testing by independent institutes, as well as quality management from production to dispatch, also distinguish good ear candles. Also indispensable are the safety filter, a burn mark, and hygienic packaging, for example, in environmentally friendly cellulose foil. After all, you can also tell during use whether the candles are high-quality candles: The more evenly and quietly, the ear candle burns down, the higher the quality.
